HOW IT WORKS:

1. Choose your mentorship option and schedule your on-boarding zoom call

3. Choose your priority topics! Because the mentoring session is limited on time, it's important to determine your high priority topics VS your lower-priority topics so time can be used effectively.

Hi, I'm Micah -- Owner and Founder of MJP Beauty!

I started my little beauty business from the group up with only $200 to my name back in 2017. To this day, I am proud to say that was was once a side-hustle, has now turned to a 6-figure business! It took years of hard work, lots of trials and tests and finding my own business mentors to figure out effective action plans to reach my goals and get to where I am today. And now, I'm eager to share all of my business knowledge with other beauty entrepreneurs who don't want to go through the hassle of figuring it out on their own and are ready to take their business to their next level❤️‍🔥

Story and Growth of MJP Beauty

Aug 2017

I took up my first lash extensions course for $1,300 after loving my own lashes after getting them done for the first time. I loved the confidence and boost in self-esteem it gave me!

Late 2017 - Early 2018

My course was unfortunately super vague and poorly structured and I had to find my own lash mentors and researched a lot of free video tutorials on Instagram and youtube to build up my own lash skills.

2018

Felt more confident in my skills in lashing and slowly started to built a clientele from my home-based salon. I also decided to take up my first brow course. At the same time I was also attending University and working 2 other part time jobs. I felt confident enough with lashing to eventually work at a salon under commission!

2019

Went back to my home-based and made a vow to myself that I was going to put my all into it. I realized doing lashes and brows was way more sustainable than all of my other jobs and so I quit the other jobs and went full time into lashing while still being a full-time University student!

2020

Amidst Covid lockdowns, I still worked hard on my skills and making it standout from my competition, researched and learned more about marketing myself and building my instagram page and soon enough, and took up new courses such as brow lamination to keep expanding my craft. I had a steady clientele of 20+ clients and new clients who were eager to book.

2021

Graduated from University of Winnipeg with Bachelor's Degree in Business during Covid and I was officially reader to leap into the beauty industry full-time. I was overjoyed working 5x a week with a steady and fully booked schedule!

2022

Unfortunately I hit burnout with lashing due to the physical strain it had on my body due to all the covid-closures. And so, my business plan had to shift. My passion suddenly fell towards Brows and from then on, I worked on building my Brow Clientele and vowed to myself that I would become the go-to Brow Girl in my city. I levelled up my brow craft and skills to the point where demand started growing for a Brow Training -- and so, my brow lamination training was born!

2023

I officially retired from Lash Extensions but due to my effective planning, I successfully transitioned from a Lash Artist to a Brow Artist without losing out on any money at the time of retirement from lashes! Now, I was focused on my brow clients and training aspiring and growing artists from my city and even had Students flying in for my training! It was my biggest year yet.

2024

MJP Beauty officially moved out of the Home-based salon and moved into Winnipeg's newest and luxury salon Standout Beauty where I still continue to have a booked and busy schedule with clients and training!
